Almost no freebie or giveaway prize can compare to a gift card. I totally love being able to spend the money on exactly what I need. When I win a gift card I always feel excited like I had a spike in my budget or that I get to splurge on something I otherwise wouldn't buy for myself.
So how excited do you think I got when I found a new blog, Mommy Wants Freebies and to top it all off I found out that she's currently running a giveaway for a $100 Safeway gift card?!? I get all of my groceries at Von's, our local Safeway store and would just be extatic to receive a $100 gift card there!
Our grocery budget runs right at about $100 each week for all of our meals. I do a meal plan every week for breakfast, lunch and dinner and then make a grocery list from that. We do eat out on Fridays and we're on our own to make a meal out of leftovers on Saturday and Sunday lunches. Other than that our $100 budget makes us all of those meals! I feel pretty good about how low we keep our food budget, but if I won a $100 Safeway card it would make me feel even better about it! Who couldn't use a little help with the grocery bill right now?
